More About the Space
The Shepherds Hut is situated in the wonderfully picturesque part of West Cornwall, within 8 acres of land.
Wrapped by a large wooden terrace, sustainably built.
You are surrounded by your own space and totally self contained.
A king sized bed (Emma mattress) with exquisitely soft bed linen and a separate area for you to sit and relax. An en-suite shower and a small compact kitchen with tea, a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. Small table top oven, which also has a grilling facility and a single induction plate.
White Company large towels are provided along with a local farm milk soap, from their Jersey cows!
A wood burning stove, for those cosy nights in, when reading a book and just relaxing is a necessary requirement!!
Outside the two and a half metre surrounding terrace, there is a table and chairs and a BBQ for alfresco eating.
The hut is sitting at the top of our garden overlooking fields and we are encompassed by stunning walks and bike rides.
Our chickens and pygmy goats are in the adjoining field and are extremely friendly.
Your surroundings
You can go explore the land and walk up the fields and onto a byway, that leads to several walks and you can also walk down to the sea (25 mins), Kenneggy Sands, which is stunning and along to Prussia Cove.
This area has access to so many beautiful walks, beaches and of course we are almost on the South West Coastal Path !
Fantastic Co-op store within walking distance.
Mark and I are always on hand for information and recommendations and to share our own experiences.
Getting Out and About
Penzance is well served with frequent bus services to all towns and villages in the Land’s End peninsula. Services operate on all routes every day in the summer and most routes during the winter.
During the summer there are regular coach tours from Penzance to many places of interest throughout the County.
The trains run into the main train station in Penzance and run all over the Country. Penzance is 11 mins by car. St Erth is the stop before Penzance and is the same distance.
Fancy cycling? We can put you in touch with a fabulous local cycle hire company who will deliver the bikes (including e-bikes!) to your accommodation and then collect them upon your departure – hassle free and definitely worth seeing the countryside on a bike!
And we are within walking distance of the South West Coastal Path.
“The most fantastic place to stay! We struck gold when we found Woodstock Glamping. The Shepherds Hut had the best views, was equipped with everything you need for your stay, the bbq was a great edition and the place was super clean. The location is great, a short distance from Penzance and a 20-30 min drive to St Ives. Beautiful beaches in the area and some lovely pubs! Sarah and Mark are the best hosts, made you feel welcome and have sound advice on places to visit.”
