Where to Eat

One of the joys of staying at Woodstock is the proximity to a number of fabulous restaurants. From The Packet Smokehouse at the end of the road (literally 7 mins walkaway!) , to the fantastic Kota Restaurant in Porthleven, or the informality of the wonderful Mackerel Sky in Newlyn, you will find a restaurant to suit.

Here is a shortish list, most of which we have personally dined in and are very happy to recommend;

Where to eat - The Packet

The Packet Inn

Situated a mere 7 minutes walk from your accommodation, The Packet Inn is our “local” so please drop in and enjoy a holiday pint!

The food is traditional pub fayre with the expected Cornish twist!

Victoria Inn – Perranuthnoe

No more than a couple of minutes drive away is the fabulous Victoria Inn. Reputedly one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall (yes there are quite a few that claim that mantel!), this is great local pub serving wonderful food. Really cosy in the winter with an open fire, and equally fantastic in the summer with a secluded outdoor patio area and more.

The Cove Cafe

Currently our most visited eatery! Completely informal, buzzing place – dont be put off by the word “cafe” – this is truly a restaurant serving excellent food all locally sourced, fresh and fun. The location is second to none. The vibe is rustic (its a shed!) So muck in and enjoy!

Just go visit

Kota Restaurant

Stepping through the door of Kota you are welcomed into a warm and relaxed world where your taste buds are invited to experience the exquisite dishes offered by chef Jude Kereama and his team.
Since opening in 2006, Kota has been recognised by many eating out guides and is a consistently present name amongst the food and beverage awards.

Potager Garden & Cafe (v)

The Potager offers a unique experience in this very special vegetarian cafe perhaps best explained by their own words;

“Potager has emerged from the bramble choked wilderness of an abandoned plant nursery and is now a relaxing and beautiful haven to rest a while, learning, eating, meeting friends or just relaxing.”
