Walking

The South West Coast Path is a walker’s dream. And it’s on our doorstep!
Follow the link above for the path website – the walk finder is excellent

For those of you into Apps on your phone, we highly recommend iwalkcornwall.co.uk. The range of walks is extensive and the app works really well for navigation – you can download the walks and then it uses GPS so “no signal areas” are not an issue!

Walking with dogs

Of course we are hugely dog friendly here and walking your dog is one of life’s greatest simple pleasures. Just two points worthy of a mention:

1) Many popular family beaches ban dogs from 1st July to 31st August between 10am and 6pm.

2) On most coastal walks you will encounter unfenced clifftops – the RNLI recommend keeping dogs on leads but if a dog falls, do NOT go after it – dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard (your phone will automatically send your location).

Cycling – bike hire

We have partnered with Landsendcyclehire who (with 24hrs notice) will deliver your requested bikes to your accommodation and then collect them on the day of your departure. They do of course provide e-bikes (electric bikes) which take the sting out of the hills! We are ideally placed for some wonderful cycling on the quiet rural lanes of West Cornwall.
